Next up for the month of June!

For the June edition of the New Edinburgh News, The Coffee Teen will feature an interview conducted with Joanne Hughes, Community Facilitator at the Crichton Cultural Community Centre in Ottawa.

The community centre has been a central landmark in the New Edinburgh community since its creation in 2000, after the closure Crichton Alternative School in 1999.

Crichton was the first progressive school I attended when I had followed the progressive format for my entire elementary, middle, and (currently) high school experiences.

Anyways, my interview with Joanne Hughes was lovely and it was nice getting a perspective from a woman who has put her heart and her efficient work style towards the upkeep of a community centre for New Edinburgh.

For more information on Crichton Cultural Community Centre, check out the website at www.crichtonccc.ca/
Also, there are many articles and information in previous New Edinburgh News editions.

Stay tuned for June 1st!

Much Love,
Will

PS June will be the last edition before the summer. That means I will be updating you through other means on the initiatives and other happenings that are going on in my surroundings. Expect some blog posts over the summer perhaps? Stay tuned!
